If you have read my About Me page, you know I'm an It Works independent distributor. Well not only do I sell these products, I use them! Today, I wanted to spotlight one of my favorite products that I would not be caught dead without. This product is a supplement called Advanced Formula Fat Fighters.

My Experience with Fat Fighters

 Let me just say that Fat Fighters are amazing! Seriously, y'all, I love these things. Not only do they block some of the carbs and fat from cheat meals, but they also seem to keep me from having that bloated yucky feeling after a carb heavy meal. I have taken them to keep me from gaining weight when I eat cheat meals.

My mom was my 1st loyal customer (see picture below about loyal customer program)  to try these. Her 1st week she only took 1 pill with her heaviest meal of the day and ended up losing around 4 lbs!  Now she only uses them when she over indulges.

I have many loyal customers besides my mom who use and love these little wonders. They have all lost weight or maintained their weight through periods of unhealthy eating. 

Now...please don't take this as me telling you to run out and constantly eat junky, food that is devoid of nutrients. 60 Day Healthy You Challenge!



If you have followed me over the past year, you know I follow the Trim Healthy Mama way of eating. For all you newbies, let me give you a little background on Trim Healthy Mama.

What is Trim Healthy Mama?

Trim Healthy Mama (THM) is a low glycemic diet that focuses on not eating processed grains/foods and not eating sugar. That may sound scary or difficult, but the sisters behind the boom give you tons of fabulous options. There are quick and easy meals with easy substitutions for people who don't like cooking or are short on time. There are also very pure options using only whole foods for people who are very particular about what they consume.
The THM diet basically focuses on eating whole foods based meals around every 3 hours and separating meals by fuel types. Fuel types are fats or carbs.

I won't go any deeper into the meal plan. The book Trim Healthy Mama by Pearl Barret and Serene Allison explains everything. There are also facebook pages devoted to the diet. An official THM page and a group.

What is the 60 Day Challenge?


The 60 day challenge is for women who have trouble staying on the low glycemic bandwagon.  Some ladies like to eat sweets and struggle with giving those up. Some ladies (Me!) struggle to give up junky carbs like white rice and pasta. Everyone who has joined the challenge is committing to 60 days of staying on the THM plan and trying to exercise a few days a week.

The challenge is a place for all of us to share successes and struggles, get motivation, look for meal ideas, and more. There is no judgement on short comings, just ladies in the same boat who are coming together to help one another.

The group has only been up this week and I'm quite enjoying it. It has really helped me to stay on plan. I'm loving seeing the tips, prayer requests, and meals of all the other ladies.

My Reason for Doing the Challenge

I've been off and on THM for 13 months. The first 6 on I didn't cheat any. My weight went from 180 to 134. My skin looked amazing, my body looked amazing (in my eyes, lol), & I felt amazing. Honestly, I've never had more energy than I did those 7 months. I kept up with my wild boys without getting tired. My stomach problems went away, my headaches weren't as frequent, and my mood was great.  Basically, I felt like a million bucks!

Recently, I had to go back to work after being off for a year. These past 2 months have been stressful because I hate being away from my boys and because we are gone constantly. I get up at 4:30, leave by 6:40, and don't get home until around 6. This has led to a lot of poor food choices and a 15 pound weight gain.Now on top of tiredness and work stress, I feel horrible about myself. 

I decided to do this challenge because I can't control the circumstances that led to me having to go back to work but I can control how I react and eat. I'm tired of not having any energy, of feeling embarrassed about my weight,  and feeling sorry for myself.

These next 2 months I'm going to stay on plan, exercise at least 3 days a week, and have a better attitude about things I can't control.

My Starting Measurements
Weight: fluctuates between 146 and 151.
Waist: 33 1/2"
Hips: 38 1/2"
Bust: 34"
